Be a Neighborhood Collector
A Neighborhood Collector volunteer is a local collection point for material donations for Magpie.
As a Neighborhood Collector, you will:
- Communicate with your neighbors or groups about accepted items and designate yourself as a volunteer for donation collection.
- Schedule times to collect donations from community members.
- Have your community drop off donations at your house, schedule a route to pick up donations from households, or set up a donation box at your school, office, or community gathering place.
- Bring everyone’s donations to Magpie for sorting!

Volunteers help us process donations by sorting items into like groups and packing boxes for effective storage.
Volunteers also help us at special community events and donation events.
