Badge Classes with Magpie
Magpie Creative Reuse Collective offers education opportunities that prioritizes used materials. These classes were designed to meet the requirements of Girl Scout badges.
For a Girl Scout badge class, a Magpie instructor will travel to your location with all the materials needed for the class. Badge not included.

Details:
We will only travel within 25 miles of downtown Kansas City.
We charge a flat fee for all classes: $200
Class time is 1.5 hours
To schedule a class contact education@magpiecreativereuse.org. Please send your name, contact information, requested class, number of participants, location, and multiple available dates.
Craft & Tinker: Paper Beads
Make paper beads with reuse paper! Learn how to turn left over paper into a beaded necklace, bracelet or garland. This simple project will introduce a new craft skill, requires repeated practice of the new skill, and encourages tinkering through material exploration and individual designs.

Craft & Tinker: Upcycled Jewelry
Use scrap fabric to make a new bracelet! Learn how to take leftover material and braid or bead it into something special for a friend or family member. Magpie Creative Reuse Collective will supply all the materials for this activity.

Automotive 1: Design
Envision, design, and build transportation of the future! Think through how we use cars and other transportation now. How can we improve it? Can we design new ways to travel that better fit the needs of our society, and our environment? Create a vision, set your design criteria, sketch your idea, and make a model. This maker space style class will present a wide range of reuse materials for making models.

Book Artist Badge
Make a variety of notebooks and sketchbooks with recycled materials. Learn simple book binding and personalize your creation. This simple project will introduce a new craft skill and encourages creative material exploration.
